Mehndi Stickers: Quick Henna Designs for Eid, Weddings and Last-Minute Events

Mehndi sticker henna designs for Eid and weddings, by The Nexa Shop

Chand Raat, a cousin's dholki, a mehndi function on a working day: the occasions come fast, and booking a mehndi artist or sitting still for hours while henna paste dries is not always possible. Mehndi stickers solve that. They give you a detailed henna-style design in a few minutes, with no paste, no drying time and no orange stain to wait for. This guide explains how mehndi stickers work, when they make sense instead of real henna, how to apply them so they look neat, and the designs we stock, all with Cash on Delivery across Pakistan.

What are mehndi stickers?

Mehndi stickers are printed henna-style designs on a sheet. You peel the design off and stick it on clean skin, and it sits on the surface like a temporary tattoo. Because nothing soaks into the skin, there is no stain to develop and nothing to wash off after hours of waiting.

There are three common types:

  • Full hand designs: a complete pattern covering fingers and the back or front of the hand, closest to a bridal or party mehndi look.
  • Palm designs: a single motif, usually round, for the centre of the palm. Simple, neat and quick.
  • Feet designs: patterns for the top of the foot, which are usually the hardest part to do with real henna.

Mehndi stickers vs real henna: which one when?

Choose real henna paste when you have time and want the traditional experience: the bride's own mehndi, a long design session with family, or when you want colour that stays for a week or more. Real henna needs several hours for the paste to dry and the stain to develop, and the result depends on the artist.

Choose stickers when time is short or you need a clean, even design without the skill:

  • Last-minute Eid plans or Chand Raat when every artist is booked.
  • Guests who want a matching design for one function only.
  • Working women and students who cannot keep a stain on their hands for a week.
  • Photoshoots and events where you want a crisp, symmetrical pattern.
  • Anyone who wants mehndi on their feet without sitting still for hours.

You can also combine them: real henna on the palms, stickers on the back of the hands or feet to finish the look.

How to apply mehndi stickers so they look natural

  1. Clean the skin. Wash and dry your hands or feet. Do not apply lotion or oil before, because the sticker will not hold on oily skin.
  2. Plan the placement. Hold the design against your hand before peeling, so you know where the fingers and the centre of the palm will sit.
  3. Peel and place carefully. Start from one edge and lay it down slowly, smoothing as you go so no air bubbles get trapped.
  4. Press firmly. Press the whole design with your fingers for a few seconds, especially around the finger joints and the edges.
  5. Do one hand at a time. If you are applying designs to both hands, finish one fully before starting the other, or ask someone to help with your dominant hand.

Tips to make them last through the function

  • Avoid washing your hands with lots of soap or scrubbing right after applying.
  • Bend your fingers gently a few times after applying so the sticker settles into the skin's movement.
  • The inner fingers rub the most, so keep designs there small and simple.

Removing them

To remove, rub gently with a little coconut oil, baby oil or an oil-based makeup remover, then wash with soap. Do not scratch them off dry, as this can irritate the skin.

A safety note about black henna

Be careful with so-called black henna cones and instant dark henna. Natural henna stains orange to deep reddish brown, never jet black. Very dark, fast-staining henna can contain a chemical dye called PPD that causes serious skin reactions in some people. Stickers avoid this problem because they sit on the skin rather than staining it. If you do use paste, choose a reputable natural henna and do a small patch test first.

Pair your mehndi with the right makeup

A mehndi function usually means bright outfits in yellow, green and orange, so warm makeup works best: a glowing base, a peach or coral blush, bronze or gold eyes, and a warm red or coral lip. Frequently Asked Questions

Do mehndi stickers stain the skin?

No. They sit on top of the skin like a temporary tattoo, so there is no stain to develop, and you simply remove them after the event.

Can I use mehndi stickers on sensitive skin?

Our Full Hand, Small Hand and Feet templates are listed as suitable for all skin types, including sensitive skin. If you have very reactive skin, test a small piece on your inner arm the day before the event.

Do I need any skill to apply them?

No. You peel the design, place it and press it down. Planning the placement before you peel is the only real trick.

Can I apply them on my feet?

Yes. The Full Hand, Small Hand and Feet set includes designs for feet. Apply them on clean, dry skin and avoid walking barefoot on rough floors right after.

How much are mehndi stickers in Pakistan?

At The Nexa Shop they cost Rs. 199 to Rs. 349 per design card, with Cash on Delivery across Pakistan. Delivery usually takes 3 to 5 working days, so order a few days before the event.
